Drop shadowing is one of the most talked about topics in the digital scrapbooking community. As a digital product designer and scrapbooker, Peppermint Granberg has been asked to share her “drop shadowing secret” over and over again, but her answer is always this: there is no one secret to drop shadowing. Instead, it’s a combination of tools and settings that are available in Photoshop; you simply have to become comfortable enough with them to release their potential.
You will walk away from this experience with a better understanding of what Photoshop is capable of, and a newfound level of comfort with tools and settings that you may have never experimented with in the past. All of which will help you move past the static, perfectly symmetric shadows created with the default settings and enter the realm of perfectly imperfect, totally realistic looking shadows.
